Capstone Program
What is Capstone?
The Boulevard Capstone Program is an intensive four-month virtual program that prepares high school juniors and seniors for their careers through online skill-building modules and virtual VIP Mentor workshops
During the program, students complete a series of online learning modules, engage in a group mentoring sessions with nationally recognized VIP mentors who provide real world insights and wisdom, and take part in an interactive student challenge. Each student who completes the program becomes a certified Capstone Scholar.
Program Components
1) Online Learning
Students have access to an exciting online learning experience on topics that will serve them in their personal and professional lives.
There are 12 short, 3-minute long videos on topics like time management skills, leadership skills, communication skills, conflict resolution, and Networking skills. Each module ends with a call-to-action which they will bring to their school or community to practice what they have learned.
2) VIP Mentorship Sessions
Students interact live with some of the most influential leaders from law and medicine to business and politics, and even some famous people in the areas of entertainment and sports through virtual mentorship sessions. VIP mentors include celebrities like Kenan Thompson from Saturday Night Live, notable entrepreneurs, State Supreme Court justices and business leaders who act as role models and mentors.
The idea is that all of these students need as much reinforcement around these topics as possible and secondarily they will get inspired to do great things when they see people who look like them who have done extraordinary things and they get a chance to interact with them virtually and ask them questions about what they were like in high school or how they achieve their success.
